Advanced Nutrition and Lifestyle Management Clinic Emerges as a Beacon of Change in Healthcare
LITTLE FALLS, MN/ ACCESSWIRE / November 24, 2023 / Many experts feel that the healthcare system in the United States needs reform.
According to MIT Press, sharing an essay from Daedalus, reviewing more than forty years of public opinion polling to look at trust in medicine, the health system, and public health, the American public has exceptionally low trust in the US healthcare system today. In sharp contrast, in 1958, nearly three-fourths (73 percent) of the public believed they could trust the federal government to do what is right just about always or most of the time. By 1980, trust had dropped to 25 percent, and although the level of trust has varied, at no time since 2006 has more than one-third of the public expressed trust in the federal government. Currently, only one in five U.S. adults believe they can trust the government in Washington to do what is right always, or most of the time. When President Johnson signed the Medicare and Medicaid Act of 1965, more than three-fourths (77 percent) of the U.S. public said they trusted the government to do what is right just about always or most of the time. That is no longer the case.
Time Magazine corroborates those findings, saying that more than 70% of U.S. adults feel the healthcare system is failing to meet their needs. However, in that same poll people said they want stronger relationships with their providers, and more than 65% said they believe their health would improve if they regularly worked with a trusted provider.
In response to this demand for change, the Advanced Nutrition and Lifestyle Management Clinic has emerged with a commitment to transform the healthcare landscape. Founded by Dr. Amanda Plevell, who holds a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, a Ph.D. in Natural Medicine, certification as a brain health practitioner, and a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition, with a specialization in trauma nutrition and neuroscience, the Advanced Nutrition and Lifestyle Management Clinic is hoping to fill a void in the US healthcare system.

Dr. Plevell's personal journey serves as a driving force behind her mission. Having experienced iatrogenesis, a condition defined as the adverse effects caused by medical activities. She was once confined to a wheelchair. However, through sheer determination and resilience, she managed to regain her mobility, even running a 5k just six months after her recovery. Her personal struggle inspired her to create the Advanced Nutrition and Lifestyle Management Clinic, aimed at providing solutions for individuals facing similar health challenges.
"I learned I was not the only one who felt let down, scared, or hopeless with a medical condition. Many others also didn't know who to trust or were discharged saying their labs were normal and nothing was wrong with them and didn't know where to turn," shared Dr. Plevell.
The Advanced Nutrition and Lifestyle Management Clinic sets itself apart by offering science-backed alternatives to conventional healthcare. The clinic's mission is to revolutionize healthcare by introducing proactive approaches, such as nutrition and evolutionary nervous system care. Their approach is centered on client-focused care coordination, aiming to rekindle the human touch in healthcare.
In contrast to the conventional medical model that typically seeks quick diagnoses and "plug and play" solutions often involving medication, the Advanced Nutrition and Lifestyle Management Clinic emphasizes holistic care. They delve into the experiences recorded by the nervous system and how these experiences impact treatment outcomes and the prevention of further health problems. Their approach aims to reduce invasiveness, potential harm, side effects, and the risk of iatrogenesis or additional trauma.
One of the clinic's standout programs is the "Hidden Health Clues Intensive." This program offers an in-depth examination of nervous system memories and the timeline of events that shape nervous system responses and cellular programming. It also provides support for brain health, brain chemistry, and functional nutrition. The program is designed to create a structured plan, protocol, and strategies to follow, reducing the sense of hopelessness often experienced when seeking healthcare solutions.
Perhaps there are no perfect solutions, but as the healthcare system in the United States faces increasing demands for reform, America may yet achieve the healthcare system its citizens need and deserve. Many feel the nation's health hangs in the balance.
